Internships & Micro Internships
Companies can leverage internships to tap into college student pipelines across the region, benefiting both students and employers, and helping the region develop and retain talent.
Apprenticeships & Pre-Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are a business-led learning initiative that broaden talent pipelines for a wide range of companies and fields. Originating from skilled trades, apprenticeships are now a proven pathway for IT, finance, insurance, and health care positions. These approaches enable participants the ability to engage in on-the-job education, classroom learning, technical instruction, and mentoring. Pre-apprentice opportunities create entries into apprenticeship programs and introduce individuals to careers while developing essential work-related skills.
Early IT Career Exploration
Building tomorrow’s Information Technology workforce requires ongoing career exploration, work-based learning experiences and authentic engagement with IT professionals to stimulate high school students’ interest to pursue IT careers in our region.
Up-skilling & Tech Credentials
Companies can be reimbursed for upskilling their team members. Through the TechCred program, businesses choose both what new technology skills employees should develop and where employees can access training, either in-person or online. The types of training cover the full range of roles to help our region and state build a stronger, tech-infused workforce.
Industry-Led Sector Partnerships
Sector partnerships are collaborations of employers and workforce providers in which employer-led strategies develop and connect talent to jobs and career pathways. Partnerships formed include Manufacturing, Healthcare, Construction and Hospitality. Through these efforts, we are working to meet industry needs and supporting inclusive talent development.
